On December 27, sponsored by Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory of landscape plant germplasm innovation and utilization, the Key Laboratory of southern landscape plant germplasm innovation and utilization of State Forestry and grassland administration, and the national innovation alliance of Jiangnan Rural livable environment protection and utilization of State Forestry and grassland administration, the International Symposium on "Landscape Plant Germplasm innovation and utilization" and Landscape Plant Research Institute of our university organized The annual meeting of Key Laboratory of germplasm innovation and utilization was successfully held in Hangzhou. Affected by the epidemic, the meeting was conducted online and offline.

With the theme of "innovation and utilization of landscape plant germplasm", nearly 200 professors, experts and scholars from China, the United States, Australia and other countries, as well as doctoral and postgraduate students from some universities in China were invited to attend the conference. The opening ceremony of the meeting was presided over by Professor Shen Yamei of our university, and the relevant representatives of the school of landscape architecture attended the meeting and delivered an opening speech. He briefly introduced the basic information of the College of landscape architecture and architecture and the Key Laboratory of landscape plant germplasm innovation and utilization in Zhejiang Province, as well as the theme of this meeting.

Professor Zhang Donglin of University of Georgia, Professor Gu Mengmeng of Texas A & M University, Dr. Liao pan of Purdue University, Dr. Li Gang of Adelaide University, Professor Chen Sumei of Nanjing Agricultural University, Professor Ning Guogui of Huazhong Agricultural University, researcher Liu Xinhong of Zhejiang Academy of Forestry Sciences, Professor Gu Cuihua of Zhejiang A & F University, and Professor Shen Yamei and Associate Professor Zhang Chao respectively gave reports to the conference and had in-depth exchanges with the delegates.

The conference focused on the needs of economic and social development, focusing on the conservation and development of local plant resources, landscape plant germplasm innovation and genetic breeding, landscape plant landscape application and its ecological benefit evaluation.
